MEGATECH License for B.U.D.S

MEGATECH is an advanced developer-level license for the original B.U.D.S. diagnostic software platform used for professional diagnostics and electronic configuration of BRP vehicles.

This license is not available through official BRP dealer or distributor channels and is intended for experienced technicians who require extended access to ECU configuration parameters, historical data management and recovery procedures after incorrect firmware updates or module replacement.

The MEGATECH license supports a wide range of BRP vehicle platforms, including:

• Sea-Doo personal watercraft

• Can-Am ATV and Side-by-Side vehicles

• Ski-Doo snowmobiles

• Roadster Spyder

The MEGATECH license provides extended engineering functionality beyond standard dealer-level diagnostic capabilities.

Key advanced procedures include:

• Editing vehicle VIN and model identification data (useful after ECU replacement or cloning)

• Access to advanced configuration parameters and engineering settings

• Viewing accumulated operational history in real engine hours instead of percentage values

• Enabling or disabling the DESS immobilizer system (start vehicle with alternative keys; Roadster Spyder excluded)

• Changing DESS key operating modes (normal, learning, rental) without full key reprogramming

• Clearing historical data in ECM and MPEM modules after ECU replacement or repair

• Resetting ECM, MPEM and instrument cluster parameters to “as new” condition, including total operating hours reset on supported Sea-Doo 4-TEC platforms

• Accessing extended diagnostic information blocks

• Editing performance curves for 2-stroke Sea-Doo engines

• Adjusting injector calibration coefficients for newer E-TEC Ski-Doo engines

• Increasing engine power on Sea-Doo Spark models from 60 HP up to 90 HP

⚠ Important Compatibility Notice

Trial licenses are issued only for use with MPI-2 and MPI-3 diagnostic interfaces and are supported exclusively by the third-generation B.U.D.S. software version.

The B.U.D.S. third version does not support MPI-1 interfaces.

The serial number of an MPI-2 interface typically follows the format:

10000XXXX
(where XXXX represents any four numeric digits)

The correct interface serial number can be verified in the “Access Privileges” window within the B.U.D.S. software or in the top MPI menu when the MPI-2 or MPI-3 interface is connected to the computer.
