BUDS2 Mechatronic Expert License

MECHATRONIC EXPERT is a developer-level license for BUDS2 (BRP Utility and Diagnostic Software) designed for professional technicians, tuning specialists and advanced diagnostic workshops requiring extended access to electronic control systems.

This license is not available through official BRP dealer networks and provides engineering-grade configuration capabilities, allowing deep electronic module diagnostics, historical data management and recovery procedures after incorrect software flashing or calibration updates.

  • Sea-Doo personal watercraft and jet boats

  • Can-Am ATV and Side-by-Side vehicles

  • Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles

  • Roadster Spyder three-wheel motorcycles

In addition to all standard features available in the Dealer Technician license, the MECHATRONIC EXPERT license unlocks advanced procedures typically required in professional repair, refurbishment and performance tuning environments.

Key additional functions include:

• Editing vehicle VIN and model identification data (useful after ECU replacement, cloning or reprogramming)

• Viewing accumulated operating history in real engine hours rather than percentage-based indicators

• Enabling or disabling the DESS immobilizer system to allow engine start with alternative keys (Roadster Spyder excluded)

• Changing DESS key operational mode instantly (normal, learning or rental configuration)

• Adjusting total vehicle operating hours on supported Sea-Doo Bosch ECUs

• Accessing extended diagnostic information blocks and engineering-level system parameters

• Modifying injector calibration coefficients for E-TEC Ski-Doo engines

• Activating or deactivating specific vehicle modules, sensors or electronic configuration options

• Increasing engine power output on Sea-Doo Spark models from 60 HP to 90 HP
